LOCATION Elizabeth Close is a short walk from the centre of Downton, a thriving and long-standing community with a strong sense of identity. At senior level there is Canford, Godolphin, Winchester College, St Swithun's, Sherborne, Bryanston and Clayesmore. In the state sector, Salisbury has retained the grammar school model and these score very highly in the national league tables.
